Deaf people from Ukraine can connect to a Ukrainian Sign Language interpreter online for free.
From March 1, 2022, the Polish company Migam www.migam.org gives free access to the interpretation online. The service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Access to the interpreter is free for every Deaf person who knows Ukrainian Sign Language.
The service is funded by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) www.rescue.org
The cooperation of Migam and IRC helps in communication for Deaf Ukrainians both in Poland and Ukraine and also abroad. Translators sign with you at УЖМ, but they know Polish and Ukrainian in speech.
All you need is any device (smartphone, tablet, computer) with a camera. You don’t need to install anything. You open the Migam Interpreter directly in your web browser.
